Determine What is Best

3 I thank my God for all the memories I have of you. 4 Every time I pray for all of you, I do it with joy.
9 I pray that your love will keep on growing because of your knowledge and insight. 10 That way you will be able to determine what is best and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. 11 Jesus Christ will fill your lives with everything that God's approval produces. Your lives will then bring glory and praise to God.

There are many of you That I know personally some better than others and there are those that I do not know at all, but, one thing I do know about everyone that reads this is that in your life there have been tribulations and trials. Some have come through them seemingly unscathed, and some have been forever changed by the events of their lives. Some have become broken by these things and seek their refuge in their bitterness, hatred, jealousy and unforgivness and some use alcohol or drugs to escape into their own world. The things will destroy you life and the lives of those around you.
Others are driven to find their solace in the things of this world; money, jobs, country clubs, associating with the right people and even doing "Church" work are used to try to fill that void. Within themselves these things are not wrong but if your heart takes pride and your life lies within these things, we like a white-washed tomb, look pretty on the outside but inside are just rotting corpses and dried up bones.There are, however, positive aspects to the trial and troubles we have in the world. We can be built up and strengthened in faith and hope of Jesus Christ, for it is in him that we live and breathe and have our being. We can rest on that hope and knowledge that he cares for us, he will never leave or forsake us, and that we are always on His mind.
Where are you? If you want to know, ask Him to search your heart and show you where you stand with Him. I did 31 years ago and my life was changed radically. If we really get to know Him we find that He is the best friend we have.
